It’s for the third time that the Alumni were invited to the seminar celebrationg the 100th anniversary of establishing Polish-American diplomatic relations. The cycle of celebrations is financed from a grant obtained from the US Embassy in Warsaw. This time we undertook a business theme and together with PAM Center, Faculty of Management, University of Łódź we organized a seminar From Vistula Riverside to Silicon Valley.
On June 14, scientists and practitioners came to Łódź to talk about economic and business relations between Poland and the US. During the debates, we talked about the historical aspects of trade relations between our countries and the current problems faced by American entrepreneurs in Poland, as well as Polish ones in America. Among the panelists were: John Armstrong, Economic Counselor of the United States Embassy in Poland, Dorota Dąbrowska-Winterscheid from the American Chamber of Commerce in Poland, together with representatives of American business in Poland and heads of Polish companies that operate on the American market.
The event was very popular among those present, which was reflected by interesting questions and a significant extension of the whole event. After the seminar, the After Party was held, where in the relaxed atmosphere of the banquet, it was possible to talk to the speakers and get acquainted with other participants of the seminar. Alumni had also the opportunity to meet each other and talk about joint activities for the future.
We express our gratitude for organizing of the event to Robert Kozielski, member of our Association, and to Anna Skibińska, both from the PAM Center of the University of Łódź. Many thanks to all partners of the event as well.
Special thanks go to the US Embassy in Warsaw for its financial and programmatic help in organizing the event so succesfully.
