The Polish Senate, Contribution of the Polish Diaspora to 250 Years of United States

Rafał Pieprzyk, president of the Alumni Association, had the privilege yesterday of attending a ceremony marking the “Contribution of the Polish Diaspora to 250 Years of United States History.” The ceremony took place in the Polish Senate. This is a particularly fitting venue because the Senate looks after Poles living abroad, including the largest Polish diaspora, which is located in the U.S.

The ceremony was attended by representatives of the Polish Senate, led by Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska, Marshal of the Senate, as well as Thomas Rose, U.S. Ambassador to Poland, members of the Polish American community, the American community and business community in Poland, and numerous guests and young people. Polish Alumni were also present at the event: Piotr Dobrosz, Director of American Councils Poland; Łukasz Chyla of the Polish-American Center at the Kościuszko Mound Committee in Kraków; and Ewa Czarnojan, Director of the Polish-American Fulbright Commission.
