Xmas Party 2019
On December 17, together with members of the British Alumni Society (BAS), we celebrated the traditional Xmas Party. We met in Warsaw for the seventh time to wish us all the best for Christmas time. The place that was hosting us was the British pub Legends. I am glad that Dan Hastings, cultural attache and Monika Rysiukiewicz, our guardian from the US Embassy in Warsaw, were there with us. 4th Alumni Thanksgiving in Krakow
This year the calendar was playing a prank on us and Alumni celebrated American Thanksgiving during Polish Santa. This year’s Alumni Thanksgiving was a joint initiative of the Alumni Association and the University of Economics and Computer Science in Krakow. We celebrated together, i.e. not only members of the Association, but also our partners and friends from: the US Consulate in Krakow and the US Embassy in Warsaw, with Tammy Nobilski, Vice-Consul for Culture, and Emily Kosmaczewski, Vice-Consul for Economic Affairs, with Jacek Drabik, member of the board of American Chamber of Commerce in Poland, Polish and American Fulbrighters and many others. Meeting at the Embassy
On October 22 the representation of the authorities of our Association had the honor of meeting Dr. B. Bix Aliu, US Vice-Ambassador in Warswa, Poland. In addition to Mr. Ambassador, the American side was represented by: Dan Hastings, Embassy cultural attaché, and Monika Rysiukiewicz from the public affairs section, who looks after the Alumni. Patrick T. Slowinski, new Consul General in Krakow
Patrick T. Slowinski invited to his residence to say hello and start his mission in Poland. He took over the post in Krakow as the US Consul General. He began his diplomatic career as a Vice Consul at the US Embassy in Warsaw. Then he took over branches in various European countries to return to Poland again. Read More
We have been awarded by the US-Polish Trade Council
The Alumni Association was awarded with the “Great Inspirations – Promotor of Polish-American Cooperation” award. The prize was awarded by the High Chapter of the Award in recognition of the enormous contribution of the Association and all its members in the promotion of Polish-American cooperation and the strengthening of relations between the two countries in both institutional and personal dimensions.
From Vistula Riverside to Silicon Valley
It’s for the third time that the Alumni were invited to the seminar celebrationg the 100th anniversary of establishing Polish-American diplomatic relations. The cycle of celebrations is financed from a grant obtained from the US Embassy in Warsaw. This time we undertook a business theme and together with PAM Center, Faculty of Management, University of Łódź we organized a seminar From Vistula Riverside to Silicon Valley.
American Day in Katowice
For the third time, the Alumni Association was a co-organizer of the American Day, which was held in Katowice on May 23, 2019. The event was hosted by the Regional Chamber of Commerce in Katowice. The aim of the event was to promote cooperation between Poland and the USA as well as to nurture Polish-American economic relations.

Congratulations for Ms. Agnieszka
For many years, Ms. Agnieszka Krzywosz has been dealing with the affairs of our Association in its Warsaw headquarters at Aleja Niepodległości. Her quiet, efficient and fully free work proved to be indispensable for ensuring the correct flow of information and correspondence. The board of the Association decided to honor Ms. Agnieszka with a bouquet of flowers and a commemorative engraving, although we are aware that this is only a symbolic expression of the magnitude of our gratitude.
