The international conference “U.S.–Central and Eastern European Connection Weekend” was held for the fourth time. The organizers—the Faculty of Law and Administration of the Jagiellonian University and the Columbus School of Law at the Catholic University of America in Washington—invited participants to Kraków, specifically to the auditorium of the Collegium Novum at the Jagiellonian University, for the weekend of June 12–13, 2026.
Following the theme “Transatlantic Challenges in Law, Business & Policy,” conference participants discussed the most pressing issues related to regulations concerning capital markets, trade, sustainable development, public advocacy, and digital transformation. The dynamic geopolitical changes of the present day have drawn attention to these matters, and numerous regulations may significantly affect the future of relations between the United States and the countries of Central and Eastern Europe, particularly Poland.
These were two very intensive days of substantive panels and discussions, as well as an excellent opportunity to meet specialists, academics, and practitioners. It was also an opportunity to bring together members of the Alumni Association, who attended the conference to take part in the panel discussions and networking meetings.
The program director of the “U.S.–Central and Eastern European Connection Weekend” is Łukasz Chyla—a Fulbrighter and member of the Alumni Association.
For the third time, the Alumni Association served as an honorary patron of the conference.
