As part of the Warsaw program Road Show the Alumni Association together with the American Embassy and the Department of Regional Strategic Studies at Cardinal Stefan Wyszynski University (UKSW) in Warsaw organized an open lecture of Professor Neal Pease, a historian from the Wisconsin-Milwaukee University and the editor in chief of The Polish Review, entitled: A Hundred Years of U.S.-Polish Relations. The meeting for participants of the Polish and Ukrainian edition of the FLEX* program was held on September 23rd-24th, 2017, at the Cracow University of Economics.
On September 18th 2017 members of the Alumni Association Board, Monika Rajska and Agnieszka Zwierzynska met with graduates of the ILVP (International Visitor Leadership Program) and LEADERS PAFW (Polish-American Freedom Foundation) at the Ambassador’s Residence to celebrate the 10th anniversary of its creation.
At the invitation of the U.S. Ambassador in Poland, Mr. Paul Jones, Alumni had the opportunity to meet in Cracow to participate in the 241st anniversary of gaining independence by the United States. Once again Alumni from southern Poland met with Mr. Ambassador and Consul Mr. Walter Braunohler and expressed their gratitude for supporting the Association’s cause. Of course a group photo was a must.
On June 9th in the Warsaw Banker’s Club a celebration took place summarizing the stay of this year’s American recipients of the Fulbright scholarship in Poland.
For the third time, on March 14th 2017, a meeting took place as part of the Alumni Association Road Show project. This time the host city was Katowice. Together with the representatives of the U.S. Consulate in Cracow and the American Corner we met at the headquarters of American Corner, which is acting alongside the Library of the University of Silesia.
