American Day in Katowice

For the third time, the Alumni Association was a co-organizer of the American Day, which was held in Katowice on May 23, 2019. The event was hosted by the Regional Chamber of Commerce in Katowice. The aim of the event was to promote cooperation between Poland and the USA as well as to nurture Polish-American economic relations.
This year’s edition focused on four panels:

1) We look together in the future. American-Polish economic relations for the next 100 years. In what direction should we go?
2) Presentation of the state of Virginia, USA, and a videoconference with a representative of the State of Nevada, USA.
3) Expansion to the US market. AmCham session.
4) Polish-American technological exchange.
During the panels, not only scientists and experts on the subject shared their knowledge, experience and ideas, but also entrepreneurs and practitioners who run business on the Polish-US line every day.
Such an interesting thematic scope of the event attracted a wide range of companies, specialists, scientists and many interested people from Silesia and other provinces. The auditorium was full of guests of the event.
After the panel part, there was a networking part, during which everyone could individually talk to the speakers and even get legal advice on entering the US market.
The event ended with a banquet.
Acknowledgments for the organization go to Regional Chamber of Commerce from Katowice, but also to AmCham Krakow @ Katowice and the other partners of the event.
