The third edition of the “U.S.-Central and Eastern European Connection Weekend” conference took place this June. The Faculty of Law and Administration of the Jagiellonian University and Columbus School of Law, The Catholic University of America, Washington D.C. invited to the auditorium of the Collegium Novym of the Jagiellonian University in Krakow for the weekend of June 13-14, 2025.
The initiative brings together lawyers, business leaders, academics, government officials, civil society representatives and students interested in the U.S. and EU approaches to current issues and their impact on relations between the United States and the countries of Central and Eastern Europe. During the two-day conference, participants discussed key regulatory issues including capital markets, international trade, sustainable development and digital transformation, among others.
It was two very intensive days of substantive panels and discussions, and an excellent opportunity to meet specialists, academics and practitioners. There was a clear feeling that the U.S.-CEE Connection Weekend has hit the schedule of national, and possibly international, conferences that bring together the United States and Europe, including, of course, Poland, at a time of dynamic changes on the global map.
The program director of the “U.S.-Central and Eastern European Connection Weekend” is Lukasz Chyla, Fulbrighter and member of the Alumni Association.
The Alumni Association was an honorary patron of the conference.
