The FLEX program allows high school students (aged 15-17) from Europe and Asia to spend a year in the United States on a scholarship. During their stay, they attend an American high school and live with a host family, which helps them absorb the American culture. The program has been in operation for 25 years globally, and for a couple of years in Poland.
The purpose of the program is to promote mutual respect and comprehension between the citizens of the United States and other countries.
It is thanks to the participants of FLEX that young Americans can learn more about the culture and heritage of other countries while foreign teenagers can get acquainted with the American education system.
